ABOUT

Returning from a 3 years hiatus in the Bay Area, I’m back in Montreal looking for work that matches my new and improved skill set.

After spending the majority of the last 20 years as a Visual/UX Designer, Web Designer, and Front-End Developer, 3 years ago I decided to take a big break and abandon the front-end development part of that career to strengthen my core design knowledge with Illustration and Painting.

For more than two years now I’ve been taking digital and traditional art classes covering subjects such as: Drawing, Construction, Perspective, Color, Painting, Advanced Photoshop and Illustrator Techniques, Gesture, Figure, Composition, and Story. I now spend my free time learning to paint and draw digitally using Photoshop and a Wacom with the goal of maybe illustrating full time one day.

UI / UX DESIGN

I worked for 15 years as a web front-end generalist specializing in visual design, UX, html, css, and javascript.

For 9 years in the R&D department at my last place of employment responsibilities included:

VISUAL DESIGN

Some of my more thought-out prototypes and designs from over the years.

As a last item, I included something that may be of interest to some of you. Learning to paint has taught me that there are as many approaches to the creative process as there are people. There are few things I find more interesting than seeing someone’s creative thinking. With this in mind, the last item on this list is a collection of some of the different design milestones this website reached along the way.

ART GALLERY

For the last few years I've been learning to paint and draw. It's pretty much what I do whenever I have free time.
